This discussion is part of Material Acceptance - Steel Material for describe additional requirements of Flanges

a) Ordering Information
Information items to be considered in the purchase order are not limited to the following:
i) Specification designation (the year date should be included).
ii) Quantity
iii) Size and pressure class or dimensions (tolerances and surface finishes should be included).
iv) Supplementary requirements.
v) Certification

b) Marking
Identification marks shall be forged or legibly stamped on each piece, and in such a position as not to injure the usefulness of the flanges.
